Jayda Guy, better known as Jayda G, is not your average artist.
The DJ, producer, and environmental toxicologist is one of Canada’s finest. Born and raised in the small town of Grand Forks, British Columbia, which is about 6 hours outside of Vancouver for those who have no idea where that is, Jayda grew up surrounded nature, amongst the mountains, forests, rivers, and lakes.
This is exactly what sparked her interest in biology, which lead her to pursuing a masters in Resource and Environmental Management, specialising in environmental toxicology. She did so in Vancouver, where she discovered city’s newly flourishing electronic music scene, dubbed the ‘Canadian Riviera’.
