There is absolutely no shred of doubt that the art world has been shaken to the core by its incursion into the digital realm. Countless doors have been blasted wide open, ushering a time where artforms that were previously regarded as being ‘beneath’ traditional art as far as value and appreciation were concerned, are actually dominating this industry. Not only that, digital art, virtual and augmented reality, are generating huge chunks of revenue.
It has taken digital art moving millions for the world to notice the validity of virtual creations. And now, we are seeing how even the biggest of brands are trying to hop on the NFT bandwagon.
Now that digital art has cemented its value as a key player in the art world, we are witnessing the incredible potential and possibilities finally being exploited. Resulting in awe-inspiring installations, and new-age showings.
Probably the most impressive exhibition to date, is the recently unveiled Global Gallery. What is Global Gallery you ask? Well, listen up, because this might just blow your mind.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=124gv78Mnj4&feature=youtu.be”][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Global Gallery is a brand new global project that seeks to test the boundaries of art showcasing by changing the way we experience digital art outside. In essence, Global Gallery has taken the entire world, and made it its canvas.
So what exactly do we mean by that? The project, which has come about as a collaboration between Porsche and König Galerie, launched October 9th and will go on until the 5th of December. It takes the works of 11 emerging artists, and displays their work in a multi-city exhibition throughout some of the largest billboards in the world. Yup, we’re talking Times Square in New York, Callao Lights in Madrid, Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo, and more.

What makes this exhibition even more exciting, is the fact that said artworks will be available for purchase as NFTs too. The different with the usual NFT way being that the pieces aren’t limited in number, but they are limited to 8 weeks the exhibition is on.
This novel approach to art allows for digital creators to have access to much larger audiences, impulsing emerging artists, oftentimes giving them a lifeline regarding sales and monetizing their work. Moreover, it also opens up the art world to many who had no access to it previously in its more traditional form.
